HSAS Supports Saskatoon Food Bank’s Milk Month campaign with a $10,000 donation
Health Sciences Association of Saskatchewan is once again partnering with Saskatoon Food Bank for their Milk Month campaign with a donation of $10,000.
During the month of September, the Saskatoon Food Bank focuses on tackling child hunger in Saskatchewan by providing 1 litre of fresh milk for children and families that visit the food bank. Milk is a critical source of nutrients for growing kids and the efforts of the Saskatoon Food Bank during Milk Month and beyond is one way to ensure that children have access to the nutrition they need.
1 in 4 children in Saskatchewan are living in poverty and last year the Saskatoon Food Bank provided 68,363 litres of milk through their Milk for Children program. Let’s work together towards an end to child hunger in our province by supporting Milk Month and the Saskatoon Food Bank.
Milk Month is taking place throughout all of September and you can show your support by donating here: https://saskatoonfoodbank.org/milk4childrendonate
