The Reality Is: Paramedics Are Not Optional
The Health Sciences Association of Saskatchewan (HSAS) has launched a campaign calling for action to address Saskatchewan’s growing shortage of paramedics. “Paramedics are essential health care professionals,” says HSAS President Karen Schmid. “They respond to medical emergencies and provide life saving care to the people of Saskatchewan. Right now, there are not enough paramedics to keep pace with the growing demand for emergency medical services.” More info

2026 HSAS Annual Convention
The 2026 HSAS Annual Convention will take place on October 22 & 23, 2026 in Saskatoon at the Sheraton Cavalier Hotel. This year’s theme is “Facing The Future.” Over the two days of Convention, guests and delegates will take part in the Union’s Annual General Meeting as well as hear about a variety of topics from our keynote speakers.
