Bio:
Elizabeth (Liz) Duret CPHR is a dynamic professional with extensive experience in human resources and consulting. Since joining the University of Saskatchewan in 2015, she has played a pivotal role as the Inclusion & Diversity Consultant, with a particular emphasis on Indigenous engagement. Liz’s background as a Chartered Professional in Human Resources, coupled with her life skills coaching and group facilitation expertise, equips her with a diverse skill set to tackle complex issues.
With a career spanning over two decades, Liz has become a respected figure in the field, advocating for inclusion, diversity and more recently, anti-racism and anti-oppression education and skill development. Her dedication to this work was recognized when she was chosen as one of the speakers for a TEDx talk titled “Diversity: It is an Inside Job” at the University of Saskatchewan in September 2019.
Beyond her professional achievements, Liz’s personal identity as a proud Métis woman and her deep connection to Saskatoon drive her commitment to community engagement. She balances her career with her role as a mother to two grown sons and a loving owner to a rescue dog named Oliver. Liz’s passion for making a difference shines through both in her professional endeavors and her personal life.

Erin is a social worker, educator, and consultant who has spent her career working in the areas of health, education, and community development. Erin’s work focuses on promoting accessible, inclusive, and trauma-informed approaches to care and support.
Originally from Treaty 4 Territory in Southwest Saskatchewan, she and her wife have called Treaty 6 Territory & Homeland of the Métis (Saskatoon, SK) home for over 20 years.
Erin will be presenting on how we can bring the concepts of equity and inclusion to life in our work with 2SLGBTQ+ people, neurodivergent folks, and people with disabilities, as well as how we can care for ourselves while learning, unlearning, and innovating in our practice.
